Airpressure.. You can sometimes feel changes in it, as you are driving through a tunnel or down a hill but you wouldn’t think it is something that could bring a huge airplane down. But as it turns out, if you combine some minor deviations from procedures with a rapidly changing pressure... Really bad things can happen. Stay tuned.

    As a pakistani, this incident broke my heart. i remember the incident very well. And i felt for the people on the plane. How they might have thanked God that they landed safely and the next second they were up in the sky again not to ever land safely again. How tragic that they were seconds away from safely landing. I heard the stories of the people on the plain. Some were going home to surprise their families. And the surprise their families got was the news of their death. The families didn't even know that their loved one was on that flight. I can never forget this. I have to travel very frequently on plane. And everytime i take a flight, my heart is coming out of my throat. May Allah save us all from accidental and sudden death. May we all have a good peaceful ending.

      I remember three plane crashes happened in Pakistan..one is this the other two are The flight in which junaid jamshed died and the flight that was shot down in islamabad on margala hills i guess. Plane crashes give me nightmares. And i dont know why youtube start showing me plane crash videos when i am about to take a flight.

    Not accessing the correct glide slope further out and adopting a 'let us get it correct the next approach' from further out seems to be the issue. Maybe panic about running out of fuel was the underlying reason.

  • @proragegames
    @proragegames 16 годин тому

    A true example of "Don't panic in an event of emergency." Getting panicked can surely kill you, but keeping calm can give you chances to survive no matter 1% but chance is a chance, and these guys just proved it. Bravo to the safety pilot for jumping in and providing his best to save the precious lives.

    I remembered saw photos of abandoned cars in both Kuala Lumpur International and Beijing Capital Airport, waiting for their owners to come back for them (The two cars in Beijing are Porshes, making them less likely been just regular abandoned cars at airports). It's almost like seeing dogs waiting for their lost owners whom never comes back. As someone studied Aerospace Engineering and took interest in aviation... I had no doubt it was a deliberate act of someone onboard. But this video opened my eyes on just how far they did go to avoid detection and by extension blame and consequences. It's really sickening. While I would love that the authorities actually find the plane, using the new trace and studies... I'm afraid that there won't be much left to find, after 10 years, most organic materials would scattered by marine fauna and buried by the current. Not much we can learn from the wreckage either, as unlike Air France 447, whoever crashed the plane could simply pull the breakers to both recorders, or let them taped over then pull the breakers... Although not explicitly mentioned in this video, out of the some 300 people onboard, there are only 2... if not just the one person have the skills to pull it off. For what? Insurance money? It is my belief that this incident have directly inspired the German Wings incident happened not long after... truly tragic...

    not too mention any names but the captain could’ve been the only one to know how exactly all these systems worked with his age and time flying, it is just incomprehensible that he would do all of this just to touchdown in the ocean with everyone on board.

And, I must add, in my life I sat at least twenty times on the jump seat of a 737 (in times when that was allowed, before 9/11).

    When rules like this are made it doesn't make anything safer. All it does is increase your risk of a depressed pilot, who has had no medication to help themselves and is sleep deprived flying the plane you are on. Not to mention the stress of traveling and not being home. The whole damn thing is counterintuitive. The FAA needs to get with the times. My heart just aches for this pilot. Clearly hallucinating and he really was trying to do his best do what his brain was telling him was needed to stay safe and keep everyone around him safe (wake up). Hats off to the crew who handled that so well.

  • @ewthmatth

    How much does ground effect increase as the wings get down below the height that landing gear would allow? Perhaps this also contributed to the aircraft maintaining speed down the runway (instead of bleeding enough speed to persuade/force the pilots to stay on the ground)

    why in such situations pilots never go to see engines through passenger windows just to check if they can see any smoke, sparks or other irregularities? nowadays airplanes should have 360 camera cover

    According to the Wright brothers standard, this is a good landing. It even feels like that. The moment the situation becomes critical, the value of the aircraft reduces to zero. After that, if you're the pilot that keeps everyone alive, you're superman, regardless of the material damage.😎
